I think this is going to be my first Forza that I actually finish 100%. 

The showcases made it hard for me though with some god aweful stock tunes that I had to drive to get through. 

Probly never ever get the start 24th and finish 1st (especially now that I'm in pinnacle division) 

but ive found this one to be pretty good overall. I've got one more endurance (Daytona 300) and a descent amount of car divisions. 

Looks like McG NJ already 100% complete the single player and pid ,has done quite a bit too. So I'm not the only one. So I'm taking a break from the leagues and get caught up

Completed the Daytona 300 what a blast. The Audi strong is wicked to drive there. 82 laps is a lot though.

All showcases complete only career races to go. One for the history book achieve says its 76% done but the career screen shows 30% complete. Dunno. I'm almost 100% done street.

I might be about 10% of your 10% lol. I haven't touched career since that opening thing we had to do when the game first came out. I just can't get into that career stuff on any game.

You should do some of the endurance showcases.
(Big pain is no tuning- so your stuck with the car and whatever you don't like about it)

#51 Ferrari was a blast around Cat. Loved it once I settle down and short shited
#93 viper was absolutely a surprise domination at Road Atlanta

I suggest bumping down the drivatar difficulty. If you end up slightly struggling with a car it gets annoying watching Rossi have traction and just pull away. I actually did road Atlanta twice. I was 2000k shy of catching Rossi. Which means it doesn't count as being done.

I killed it in the Dodge Viper though. I would have won on unbeatable.

Bathurst was very close for me. The Decel diff was plaguing me in the ford. I didn't catch first until lap 11 and took me 3 laps to pass and make it stick- and it wasn't for another 6 laps until I could breathe and not worry about having to redo it.

The career has been pretty fun. I think I'm at 12 - crew chiefs (Max affinity)
In tuned cars unbeatable is easy -if in good car. Mazda Cosmo, dc2steve d class civic ,turbo or ivorbigun's lancer. It's been pretty awesome. Running them again in settings.

Career guide to get you through to open it up to do what you want to do

Super street - volume 1
(This is quickly becoming my favorite class of cars )

Classic Compact- E300 - Mazda cosmos (EMW venom e class)
You can use this car though all three series (challenger, club, us tour) it's a leaderboard car that can handle just about anything. It's not the best at speed only tracks or grip only tracks but this car wins hands down all the races in career on unbeatable- this car launches and you'll end up near first by 1st sector
(I used it second play though with slick dare (forces no STM/TCS and reduces grip by 15% for 50% credit bonus- coupled with Mazda crew chief which gave me back 12% grip and 50% bonus credits. For a net loss of 3% grip. --- kind of peeved it counts all your laps as dirty when I clearly don't have an advantage with these mods)
Hot Hatchback- D400 - I used dc2steve's 97 Honda Civic. But there are any number of tunes and dominant cars out there that should make easy work of the three series in this volume
Ultimate sport compacts- B600- I was in lancer m8 in Turbos cota tune. Destroying unbeatable - though ever car launches. So you have to drive for it. But the tune made it easy
Japanese street kings - C500 Acura integra - ducky's paint- tuned by Rosny (worm, venom have a bit more accel and top end- but Rosny is more my overall setup and go - KEZZEN's grip is great at hock short)

all of these cars can win on unbeatable and with no mod help. If you want to have a clean lap you may want to bump down difficulty to expert or pro so second or third lap can be clean (and of course no mods on)


I would do one of the three, I placed in order of easiness for me. pick one and done until volume 2

Professional Racing - Volume 4
This volume contains four divisions that have non maxed for class tunes and two Ovals in the Redline series for all divisions that will require oval tunes to make
The first series is all rain - softer more grip set up - then Redline is more speed set ups, and then the US Southern tour that had a speed and grip track mixed in. So... if you are doing it on unbeatable you will be switching out tunes quite a bunch.

My 1st run through was a while ago in the C7R (of course - the rain at bugatti kicked my tail- I made a tune and also used Sgt Lug Nuts tune it was pretty rough not done on unbeatable if my memory serves me correct I had to knock it down to PRO - I have two tunes for the C7R for Daytona and Indy to spec and they destroy Unbeatble AI - they lap up to half the field

Historic Sportcars Racing A675
DAGnoFEAR- Shelby Daytona coupe kills it in storefront and tracks that don't require total top speed. I used it in redline series but just turned down the Daytona and classic lemans diff to new racer- car tops out at 163. And not fast enough for those tracks. But man it handles and accelerates. Love the car. This was the easiest wins for me by far in the Stormfront Series (all rain tracks)
V8 Supercars S800

Global Touring Cars S800 
Really liked v12stevo tune for the BMW (used BMW to get trough that series and I believe unbeatable is doable in this tune for the Southern tour. Its a bit slow for Daytona and only managed 2nd but that allows you to progress - but you need to be really good on the infield. Kap3lan has a tune for Daytona (untried- could only see the leaderboard after I raced and sorted to division) but I could see where someone went 1 sec faster then me in stevos and that might have made it so it might have pulled off victory.
Noticed CQR Takumi had a tune on Sebring Leaderboard for  S3 (I always like his tunes- and the S3 is the car that was running in the top in the AI field.

[/u] terrific car - grip/ accel - awesome on Storm Front - need to knock down difficlulty on speed tracks as this car only does 163mph - so Lemans Classic/ Daytona/  etc can get away from you - Indy Oval is a toss up there are plenty of laps and it does the turns at 150mph so you may end up winning just take you a while to secure top 3 positions depending on difficulty- easy win on PRO for me.[/ul]

*Easiest Win for me was  in Word Championship series was in BAM Python's Lotus #5 1970 F1

My first run was in Mazda787b - Unbeatable was no issue in my memory - Just pick a leaderboard tune you are comfortable with driving and have fun - I will run through again at later date to make sure this is accurate but im 90% certain this was the case - I did it in HMR Motorheads Open source tune
Modern Grand Prix - X999

1970s Grand Prix - R900
LOTUS #7 - BAM Python tune - I struggled a bit on Rio - the car kind of bumped around a bit and I didn't know how to drive the car yet - but breezed through rest of World championship series no issues and lapping back markers on unbeatable. The Timeless Racing series same tune was definitely doable - basically tracks I was good at I had no issues on unbeatable and ones I wasn't I struggled (STAY in 4th gear unless drafting and then only if you are already doing 160)Spa was won on last lap at last turn and there may have been a little nudging If I practiced it a head of time - i think I would have won a bit easier - Break away drivatar still happen

But through out the series - your drivatar would be second on most races - I think it screwed up and crashed on 2 races but after Rio then Sonoma - I figured the car out and its a leaderboard car and I was pretty much see ya at that point every race actually had me lapping back markers. I looked and you didn't have a time in the car either - you weren't in the friends starting position -(normally surrounded by friends at start; 2 in front and a couple behind you on pole) - Greek was my WTCC break away drivatar in S60 - I needed that like a hole in my head while trying to figure out that car and tune. He also started somewhere ahead of me like you did. So breakaway drivatars  seem to come form the same spot on pole, roughly.

Is it only in career where your friends are in the same grid as you? Because in the single races I do none of you guys are ever in there.

I think I've driven the Lauda Ferrari once or twice. I know I drove it at Silverstone GP and one other place I think and then I haven't drove it since. I won James Hunt's McLaren on a spin but haven't drove it at all. I wanted the GT3 and other race cars to be my time setters in R class. I haven't even got an Ultima yet.

It was in career. What's single play? Free play- I've not played that much. Couldn't even use that well enough to do Ferrari achievement. (Ended up doing private MP, free play wouldn't even let me keep the track the same and let me just change the cars it was like a hopper that I don't have much control of car selection in. With out a ton of loading screens.

Yeah I guess single play would be Free Play in the menus. Pick your track, your car, competition, number of laps. Once a race ends I don't take the next race and track it suggests. I just roam around and do my own thing. I'm not much on collecting achievements. If one pops up that I've done it, fine. But I'm not going to intentionally go after specific achievements. I just don't have the patience for that. I guess that's why I don't like career.

I don't do the career for the achievements - Its how the game developers designed their game - Example- doing halo campaign - its the story - the impetus behind placing the game out their in the first place. Now doing the career 5 times is taking it to the next level.

And for the most part I don't become a completionist or achievement hunter until I have had a bunch of them pop and and then I see well all I have to do is this - then that - then that to complete.

Everyone should run through the career at least once - showcases are locked until you get so far and there are quite a few showcases that are pretty cool, as a GT3 kind of guy most of the endurance runs are in GT3/E and you have a ton of cars to pick from not just 3 LMP cars.Hopefully a guide that shows the tracks and allows you to prepare helps for those that have not done it.
